I began photographing Curatorial statements about artist shows that I have seen. Many if not most of them use a language I call "ART SPEAK". It is language and descriptions about the artist and their work that if not well versed in the world of contemporary art, then the vernacular may be a bit erudite for the average patron. And so I began drawing these exhibition statements as if they were works of art in of themselves. I have seen the associated physical works that would accompany each statement placed upon the exhibit's adjacent walls but in my works, the reader must imagine what the actual art that the statements explain, what that art looks like. I have well over three dozen works that fit in this series. I just have to make the time to execute them.
